The 2016 Fly Fishing Show is just around the corner! The show kicks off on Friday, January 22nd and continues through Sunday, January 24th. Taylor and I will be taking pictures and milling about the show Saturday morning so if you see us please don't hesitate to say hi!
Last year Taylor and I were lucky enough to be part of a Holiday outdoor meetup in Boston and we are doing it again! Come join us for the second annual Boston Holiday Meet Up with 13 outdoorsy New England companies and organizations. Free food and product displays are only part of the attraction. This is a great chance to meet and talk with the people behind your favorite companies like Cheeky Fishing, The Fly Pack, Parlor Skis, etc. Please don't hesitate to introduce yourself to Taylor or I, we love meeting people who actually read our site. We are still convinced we are the only ones who actually pay attention to it...

We hope to see an even bigger turnout than last year and like I said, don't be afraid to say hi!
I spent this past weekend on Cape Cod with my wife. As if that wasn't good enough, I had the distinct pleasure of attending a High Hook wine tasting in support of Stripers Forever. High Hook Wines served an amazing product. Sarah, my wife, especially enjoyed their Pinot Noir, while I enjoyed the Pinot Blanc. Mark and Stephen from High Hook were on hand to serve and answer questions about their product, processes, and unique outlook. I fully support their motto: Love life. Go fishing. Care for the planet. Drink wine.
The event was held at Black Eel Outfitters in Dennis, MA on Cape Cod. You can think of Black Eel Outfitters as a one stop shop for the Cape. Imagine a surf lifestyle and beach shop, just replace surfing with fly fishing and you have Black Eel. John, the owner, is an avid angler and is enthusiastic about helping vacationing anglers find striped bass. You can find some nice Patagonia clothing for your significant other and also bring home a new Cheeky Mojo 425 for yourself! Be sure to check out Black Eel next time you visit the Cape. I would argue its worth a trip just to check out this awesome shop!
The 2015 Fly Fishing Show was a a great success. This was Taylor and I's second time attending the show and we enjoyed catching up with a lot of the people we have grown to know through this site. We chatted with the guys from Cheeky Fly Fishing, Allen Fly Fishing, the Harrison Brothers, various guides, fly tiers, etc.
Enjoy these pictures, and when you see us at the show next year be sure to say hi!
All involved would say the fly fishing holiday meet up that happened on Thursday, December 4th at West End Johnnies in Boston was a great success! Taylor and I were present, showing our videos from this year's fishing endeavors. The response was better than we could have hoped for and we cannot wait to be a part of another local event like this.
